MY STARRY JEJU TRIP - Part 2
I was up till 3AM to write and tired at the end,
after I read it today I realized that I forgot some parts,
so here’s the extra stuff I recall, and plus today’s story.
Yesterday afternoon, the hotel staff started to set up banquet tables in the court yard,
it looked like for wedding.
I was so excited, are they going to shoot the wedding scene here?
So I asked them and was told that there would be a real wedding the next day, one of VIP customers.
I told myself to come back tomorrow to check out,
having seen so many wedding scenes in Korean dramas,
now I will be able to watch a real one. Extra bonus.
There is a big screen TV in the restaurant and shows various drama and variety shows shot in Saees. Boys over flowers, Happy Together, Goong, etc.
During dinner, happy together and parts of BOF were showing
and nobody paid any attention to the screen.
As I was finishing diner and ready to go, guess what,
they started We Got Married first episode,
everyone in the restaurant, I mean, everyone, including the waiters,
turned their heads and watched.
All of sudden it was quiet, then people started to laugh
once HJ showed up saying those funny things, picking the stars, couple T shirts, killing bugs, etc.
Females were watching with undivided attention,
especially Cody noona’s table (JSM was sitting there too),
they watched it as if this was their first time.
I find it very amusing.
Took some picture from outside. The part HJ started to kill mosquitoes was still hilarious no matter how many time I watched it. I really want to see his reaction if he was there,
but unfortunately he left already by then.
I wonder if he is still thinking about buin?
Does coming back to the same place to shoot for a honeymoon scene remind him of his buin? It must have, but don’t know how he feels.
The honeymoon suite is situated at the corner, very private and has a fantastic view. The square bench where they sat and ate ramen noodles in the morning is still there.
After I left the restaurant, I went to the front desk again
to tell them that I will come the next day to pick up HJ signed CDs.
They were very happy for me. I am so grateful to them,
I was not even a guest there
but they treated me so nicely and went out their ways to help me.
I feel I was so lucky and blessed.
Time to go back to pen my fan account,
I was taking notes on some small paper I got from the front desk,
I was running out of space and tried to squeeze everything.
When I got back to the guesthouse, I was able to check in “properly”,
remember in the afternoon I just dropped off my suitcase,
told the owner I would be back later then just rushed back to the resort?
She had to stay up late to wait for me, felt sorry.
She is a very nice lady, speaks fluent English, Chinese and Korean.
We started to chat and she asked me why I came to Jeju,
oh, boy, I had to explain it to her,
her eyes got big, “Wow”.
So explained a little more, oh, well a lot more, she was very impressed.
Then she was giving me suggestions for what to do for the next day.
It was getting late and I told her I really need to start before I forget.
After a shower, I settled in the bed and started typing away,
good thing that I kept some notes as my memory is getting worse as I age.
So I was writing as much as I can recall,
soon it was 3, 4, 5, eventually 7 pages in Word document format.
OMG, who is going to read my ramblings,
but I feel it’s OK since it seems starlings like to read
and bb also mentioned to write as much as possible.
So here you go.
I emailed the document to bb
since I was too tired to post it in the forum with the better format (easy to read).
There are some typos for sure, but who cares,
I am sure starlings can guess what I mean, right?
No time to insert pictures either.
It was almost 4AM when I went to sleep with a smile,
the day has been crazy but great.
Woke up at 9am and checked the forum,
dear bb has already adjusted the format and posted, thank you so much.
And I was very relieved that starlings like what I wrote.
The guest house owner greeted me and we started to chat again.
I started to “educate” her on K dramas, KHJ, SS501 and WGM,
she usually doesn’t watch TV and is not familiar with any of the stuff I told her.
Then she got curious about the WGM
and said she has this program that she could watch all the TV show,
so would want to watch it too.
A little later she told me she searched but only found WGM season 2.
So I whipped out my portable hard drive and offered it to her,
I have whole episodes,
joongbo cuts with English or Chinese sub, any version you want, I have.
I told her to stick to joongbo cut, since she understands Korean it’s even better.
My Korean friend told me that HJ uses some unusual words.
So I planted another seed for KHJ virus!
So I gave her the hard drive and left the guest house to do my sightseeing.
I took the bus and walked another 30 minutes to get to Saees, the weather was very warm.
I am lucky the weather’s been so nice, usually it’s quite unpredictable.
As I got to Saees, the wedding was in the process, bride is very pretty, like an actress,
saw a lot of women dressed in colorful traditional hanbok.
Very interesting.
One female staff recognized me and waved at me,
she actually came over and walked with me to the front desk.
She went in the room and took out the CDs,
told me that HJ’s manager dropped it off this morning before they left for the airport. They were both new and shrink wrapped now the wrap was gone, so HJ signed it!
I opened them, OMG, he really wrote my name in Chinese as I requested,
his writing is very good, and he signed on one of my favorite pictures in the photobook, completely in cloud nine.
He signed on a different picture for ET,
I think she will be happy too to get a signed CD.
I took pictures of the signatures
and also asked the staff to take a picture of me holding the CD.
I thanked them again and again,
without their help, it would not have been easy and pleasant adventure for me.
They deserve a good start from me.
For ETWith both CDs safely tucked away in my bag, I did some sight seeing,
including the Teddy Bear museum, some trails, traditional houses, etc.
Finally was getting exhausted and went back to the guest house.
The owner lady greeted me at the door
and she told me she watched 4 episodes of WGM, she really liked it.
She was laughing even she had a stomach ache.
She did acknowledge that the way HJ says stuff is different from average people, I said “That’s why he is so unique”.
She said she would keep watching.
And of course I showed her some of the websites where she could watch more show.
OK, I will stop here for now, need to get up early to go to the airport.
Will write my after thoughts later.
