Kim Hyun Joong Receives IV Treatment Between Japanese Concerts

For two days from July 14 and 15, Kim Hyun Joong was so exhausted he needed to get IV treatment. He had a collaboration performance at the Japanese Saitama Super Arena. He also, had an exclusive live performance during the “Kim Hyun Joong Heat 2012,” to commemorate the release of his second single album “Heat.”

For the two events there were nearly 60,000 Japanese fans and although he was in a bad health condition, he received IV treatment in order to keep his promise with fans. Despite a bad health condition he tried his best, and moved the hearts of fans.

A representative of Kim Hyun Joong’s agency stated, “Currently Kim Hyun Joong’s popularity has reached a new peak. ‘Heat’ which was released on July 4, sold 183,000 copies for the first week. The album went past Yamasita Tomohisa, and reached #1 on the Oricon Weekly Chart.”

Currently Kim Hyun Joong is focusing on promoting “Heat” and also Japanese location filming for “City Conquest.”

Kim Hyun Joong got an IV to perform at his live concert in Japan, which was held in celebration of releasing his second Japanese single.

Kim performed for a total of 60,000 fans at his concert titled Kim Hyun Joong ‘Heat’ 2012 in Japan, held at Saitama Super Arena on July 14 and 15.

Performing with the Japanese popular musician Naoto Inti Raymi on July 14 under the title of Double Fantasista-Great Assist, Kim captivated the audience with his powerful energy and good stage manners.

At his exclusive live concert held on July 15, he attracted the audience’s attention by performing “Heat” and “Let’s Party” live.

As if he was trying to thank his fans, he performed several songs live. The fans of Kim also enthusiastically responded to him throughout the concert.

Despite the fact that Kim was in bad condition because of his hectic schedule and the concert on the previous day, he got an IV to perform for his fans who came to his concert on July 15.

Interacting with his fans by having a talk time during the concert, Kim said sorry to his fans for his bad condition and thanked for his new single’s success.

Kim’s second single, “Heat,” which was released on July 4, ranked first on the Oricon weekly chart, beating the Japanese popular singer Yamashita Tomohisa’s, by seeling 183,000 copies in the first week of its release.

Kim is currently focusing on the shooting of his new drama series City Conquest in Japan.

World star Kim Hyun Joong held a free live performance "Kim Hyun Joong 'Heat' 2012 in Japan" at the Saitama Super Arena for two days to celebrate the release of his second Japanese single "HEAT."

For two days the event drew a total of 30,000 fans however the exclusive event was limited for album buyers.

Kim Hyun Joong who has shooting for the drama "City Conquest" in Nikko, Tochigi as well as holding fan events and guerrilla live concerts in various parts of Japan had a sore throat during rehearsal and went for quick checkup which led to a delay for 1 hour for the first show.

Nevertheless the singer appeared on stage and performed a total of 15 songs including his Japan debut song "Kiss Kiss," new song "HEAT" that tops Oricon's singles chart and "Lucky Guy."

The single upon its release sold a whopping 137,774 copies topping the Oricon daily singles chart, a record for a solo foreign artist.

Kim Hyun Joong shared, "I have not specifically discussed about future plans. I wish to make a studio album also would like to hold a world tour. I would like to have concerts at a smaller venue rather than big stage," hinting a possible Japan tour next year.

After pulling off yet another successful night of performances for the ‘Double Fantasista‘ concert this past Saturday in Japan’s Saitama Arena, Kim Hyun Joong seems to have received much love from not only fans but celebrities as well.

Recent backstage photos have revealed that singers & actors from Japan, Korea and the States sent the singer-actor their greetings with impressive bouquets of flowers. The gift-givers included worldwide sensation Justin Bieber, jewelry designer Justin Davis, Japanese actor Shun Oguri as well as Korean actors Bae Yong Joon, Kim Soo Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon.
