[News] Kim Hyun Joong to have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds

A wax figure of Kim Hyun Joong is currently being made to be displayed for Madame Tussauds.

In order to have his wax figure made, Kim Hyun Joong recently participated in being a model posing in various poses on a turn table for 3 hours, and having his photo taken from all 360 degrees. Through the process, about 500 fine details on his body were measured and sent to the Madame Tussauds studio in England. The studio will confer continuously with Kim Hyun Joong to create an accurate life-size wax model.

His wax figure will be displayed at Madame Tussauds location in Busan. The chief of the museum said, “The number of Korean tourists that look for Madame Tussauds in Asia is increasing, and the interest toward Hallyu stars are also increasing. Kim Hyun Joong is popular not only in Korea, but all over Asia, so Madame Tussauds in Asia has high interest in this wax figure.”

Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong will be immortalized as a life sized wax figure.

The Madame Tussauds in Busan announced that they will display a wax figure of Kim, a beloved star in Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Japan, starting in December.

Since the museum selects renowned celebrities to immortalize as wax figures and display at thirteen museums in the world, entering the museum is a very honorable event.

Starting November 7 through 14, the museum will hold an event through their official Facebook and Twitter accounts asking people to guess what kind of pose he made for his wax figure. The museum will choose several people randomly on November 15 and send them invitations to Busan.

A spokesperson for the museum says, “Many Korean tourists visit Madame Tussauds in Busan. Since Kim is very popular in Korea and Asian countries, other branch museums in Asia are paying a lot of attention to his wax figure.”

The Madame Tussauds in Busan displays seventeen wax figures of world famous celebrities, including, Bae Yong Jun, Lady GaGa, Johnny Depp, Spider Man, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Audrey Hepburn, and Jackie Chan.
