Eight months after his visit to sunny Singapore, Kim Hyun Joong is back again as THEFACESHOP ambassador.
During these eight months, Kim Hyun Joong has been busy with his Breakdown mini-album as well as promotion for it. He wanted to have mini-concert in Singapore during this visit but his schedule did not permit him to do so. However, he mentioned that he plans to have a concert in Singapore early 2012 so fellow henecias, look out for his concert early next year!
Kim Hyun Joong revealed that he had a simple lunch at Sentosa’s beach yesterday. Although he did not visit Universal Studio Singapore due to his tight schedule, he was elated when his staff bought him a “Best Actor” t-shirt from USS. At the mention of a trophy of similar kind, Kim Hyun Joong hopes to buy it for himself when he is free to visit USS. He also does not mind if his fan buys the trophy as a gift for him.
When the emcee, Ah Ken from Radio 1003, express jealousy and curiousity of Kim Hyun Joong looking fresh and good despite his busy schedule, he revealed that he does not have a particular skincare regime, he eats what he likes and have plenty of sleep before his sleep. Kim Hyun Joong feels it is partly due to THEFACESHOP’s products that he uses.
Kim Hyun Joong would like to thank all the fans for the support for last year’s charity auction during his fanmeet and will be conducting another charity auction during this visit’s fanmeet. Other than his lifesize standee, another item to be auction off will be his limited edition Breakdown DVD that only has 10,000 of its kind produced in Korea. The limited edition DVD not only includes the music cd, but also footages of his activities since his Breakdown mini-album was produced. He feels greatful for these charity auctions and hopes to continue contributing through these charity auctions throughout his career in any country that he visits.
Together with Mr Leslie Low, Director of THEFACESHOP Singapore, and Ms Kelly Kwak, THEFACESHOP Korea marketing team leader, the latest product line from THEFACESHOP was also launched during this media event. Being a user of the latest product line of BB Cream, especially the Power Perfection BB Cream, Kim Hyun Joong feels that the easy to apply product provides high coverage, controls oil and is long lasting.
Q: The average Singaporean men are not used to using makeup like BB Cream, so how or what would you do to encourage them to use it?
A: Even in Korea, it used to be in such a way that the men are not really used to using makeup products. Now, there is a shift in culture, so men are looking more into taking care of their skin just like women. So I feel that Singaporean men can also take care of their skin by using THEFACESHOP products, especially the BB Cream.
Q: You have been busy with your Asia Tour so how do you keep yourself motivated when the work piles up and how do you relax at the end of the day?
A: Even though I have a busy schedule everyday, I try to enjoy my work to find the joy and happiness in my working life. I also find joy in having good food, so I try to taste the local food here to keep myself happy.
Emcee: Some people relax by singing in the bathroom, so do you sing when you are in the bathroom or do you practise dancing?
A: It is my job to sing and dance onstage so when it is my own time to relax, I prefer not to sing and dance but to do something else.
Q: If you do have free time to go to Universal Studio Singapore, who would you bring?
A: If I get to go to Universal Studios Singapore, I would bring my staff along with me and have a good time.
Q: If you could create a beauty product, what would it be and why?
A: If I could create a beauty product, it would be to cater to people with busy lifestyle so it would be something like a mask that can give you a full makeup instantly when put on to save time. I expect such product will be produced in the next 50 years time.
Q: What are your top three favourite THEFACESHOP products?
A: My top three favourite products would be the Power Perfection BB Cream as well as the essence and the hydrating mask pack.
Q: For Breakdown, you have a manly and more mascular image so was it tough trying to acheive this image and how do you go about doing it?
A: I did lots of exercise to prepare myself for the mini-album image so it was tough but I’m glad with the results. Another album will be released in October so please look out for it as well and continue to give your support.
Emcee: What is the toughest part preparing for this album, other than preparing for the image?
A: The hardest part was I felt very pressured and stress because I had to do most of the preparations alone, as a solo artist. But I overcame this when I saw how the fans supported me and how they like my album and music.
Q: Can you give us some hint about your new album concept and the genre of the music?
A: I can’t release much information but it will be more on funky music where everyone can dance to and the concept will be very different from my previous mini-album.
Q: You have your own album and acted before so what do you hope to acheive this year? Maybe you would like to try something new, other than acting, singing and dancing?
A: I feel that in terms of acting and singing, I still have much more to learn and have a long way to go. Before I try something new, I would like to excel in these two areas first.
Emcee: So how would you describe the relationship between your music and THEFACESHOP? How would you put that together?
A: I feel that both my music and THEFACESHOP product make me standout and is something that I can express myself through.
